ABOUT THE SCIENTIFIC COUNCIL OF THE INSTITUTE FOR PHYSICAL PROBLEMS OF THE BAKU STATE UNIVERSITY

 

The higher organization of the Institute for Physical Problems is the Scientific Council. The Scientific Council adopts the charter of the Institute, makes changes and additions to it, determines the main directions of its activity, holds competitions for positions, elects members of elected organizations, listens and discusses reports of director, heads of departments, if necessary, other elected organizations and officials. It evaluates their activities, discusses and approves annual research plans of departments, makes decisions on all issues related to the activities of the Institute, considers personnel issues, carries out the selection of candidates for scientific and pedagogical positions (professor and senior researcher) on a competitive and contract basis (except for staff positions), makes proposals to the Scientific Council of BSU on awarding employees the scientific titles of professor, associate professor.
